TEACHING METHODS
Through the years I have been teaching , I've recognized that building a strong relationship with my students is crucial to successfully teaching. I believe this to be one of the key components to learning quickly and efficiently. I have a strong sense of person and can quickly determine the type of teaching style I would need to employ to greatly increase their understanding of the material taught to them.
Like each student, the way they learn is unique. Some need a more strict and straightforward approach, where as some would need a more laid back approach. Some students learn easily with more visual or audible queues and it is up to the teacher to recognize this and apply it to their teaching. This is something that comes easily to me and is always implemented in my lessons.
ALL ABOUT ME
I have been playing music for 26 years and teaching for 15 years. I have a Bacherlor's of Arts Degree in Contemporary Music that I received at Humber College. I have been studying and practicing under the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) since 1995 . During highschool, I started my teaching as a part-time job, but quickly recognized this to be my calling. Through experience & time I have developed great and effective methods to teach students to their highest potential.
